Iris Portrait-Tiffany

A portrait image of a tall bearded irises named Tiffany. This historic iris was cultivated by Hans Peter SAss and introducted in 1938. The plicata patterned flower are creamy white with pale wine hued edges. The falls are ivory with a deeper wine color edging and the beard is yellow. Awards include Honorable Mention in 1938 and Award of Merit in1943

Bearded Iris Prospero Portrait on Green

A portrait image of a purple-blue and yellow iris named Prospero. This bitone, herloom iris has lavender standards, deep purple falls and a yellow beard. The heirloom iris was cultivated in by Yeld in 1921. This is one of the oldest iris cultivar.that I have had the fun of photographing.

Iris Portrait- Bronze Peacock

A portrait image of a tall bearded iris named Bronze Peacock. This colorful iris was created by J. T. Aitken and registered in 2003. The ruffled flower shows a variety of colors from copper brown-broze to pinks to violet falls with yellow beard. It won an Honorable Mention Award in 2006.

Manhattan under the Rainbow

NYC Hudson Yards Towers and the Vessel

Hibiscuc Flower - The Flip Side

Here the back view shows the pattern of the petals flowing out from the sepals at the base of the flower at the top of the stem. While the back of the flower shows red and gold in the petals, the front appears mostly a coral red hue.

NYC Outgoing Showers at Sundown

A new of the New York City skyline and Hudson River with massive blue, gray, gold and white clouds overhead as a rain shower moves away. A close look will show the rain coming down somewhere to the East.

NYC Goldglow at Twilight
