Day 261: Street Art Mural - Sept 18. A section of a mural recently created in my city's business district. It is one of a series of 12 painted along the side of a block long building by two brothers who grew up in this area. As a follow up to my initial post: The murals were painted by Fortoul Brothers, Isaac and Gabriel, which I had noted in the keywords below. The unveiling of their Mural Project was held on September 3, 2015. The brothers were born in Columbia but grew up in Union City where the murals are located. The intent was to portray the diversity of the culture of the city in the art. The faces in all of the murals have the signature white noses. I would like to post more of the murals but chose to only post a section of one of them out of concern about copyright issues. I love their minimalistic, almost primitive, but powerful effect. I did send a note to the artists' email address to request permission to post photos of the murals but have not received a reply.
