Day 303: Red Mill Museum.- October 30. The Red Mill Museum in Clinton N.J. framed by autumn foliage.

Day 302: Great Falls-Paterson N.J.- October 29. A shot of Great Falls of the Passaic River. The small amount of rain that we've had has lowered the river quite a lot, affecting the flow of water over the falls. Note the two paddlers at the bottom of the frame. Don't know what they were trying to accomplish but they made no progress. After putting their craft in the water and trying to paddle for about 10 minutes they gave it up and got back on land. Have no idea how they got down there but I'm guessing that it is not allowed.

Day 301: NJ Palisades-Fall Foliage - October 28. A view of the autumn color on the New Jersey Palisades and the Hudson River below. Taken from State Line Lookout on the Palisades cliff top at an elevation of 527 feet above the river. The lookout is one mile south of the New York-New Jersey border.

Day 300: Pink Chrysanthemums - October 27. It's 'P" challenge day. So many choices with this letter. I chose this subject for Petals, Patterns, and Pink for breast cancer month.

Day 299: NY Skyline-One WorldTrade at Sundown - October 26. A big splash of sunset light on One World Trade last evening. .

Day 298: NY Skyline-Cruise Ship - October 25. Cruise ship Carnival Splendor departing New York City at the start of sundown yesterday. I've never been on a cruise but it is tempting.

Day 297: Fall Foliage - October 24. A nice, although cold, day yesterday for a fall foliage drive.

Day 296: George Washington Bridge Fall Foliage - October 23. Started out late afternoon yesterday to look for my photo for the day - rain began shortly after. But I continued to my destination wanting to get more fall foliage photos. As I was finishing up and on my way to start home - just before sundown - the sun came out and I was lucky to be in a spot to get this shot.

Day 294: Fall Foliage NJ Palisades - October 21. A gorgeous day for a ride through Palisades Park yesterday along the Hudson River. While many of the trees are readhing their peak color, many are still green. But with the wind that we've had lately, leaves are dropping so not sure how much longer the colorful views will last. Thanks for all of the comments that you posted yesterday for my Overlook and moonrise photos.

Day 287: Farmer's Market Display - October 14. A feast for the eyes and the tummy at our Sunday Farmer's Market. Thanks to all who commented on my New Jersey and New York City 'N" post yesterday.

Day 286: New Jersey-Four Seasons- October 13. Well "N" day created a dilemma for me. NJ is my home state, yet NYCity is practically my backyard. So I posted and "N" photo for each state today. The top image in this photo was taken during this week - my first fall foliage photos for this year.

Day 285: New York City Sunrise - October 13. New York City for "N" alphabet day. I had hoped for a more colorful sunrise this morning but this was it today.

Day 284: Russet Chrysanthemums - October 12. Drizzly rain and heavy winds all day yesterday made photo time very short. Took a few quick shots of these mums and gave it up for the day.

Day 282: Woodland Path - October 10. Looking forward to getting back to retake this photo when the leaves have turned. Took a ride yesterday to NJ Palisades and there are pockets of autumn color starting to show. If the storms in the next few days don't blow off the leaves, hopefully there will be beautiful fall foliage to view in the coming weeks.

Day 281: Mill Creek Marsh - October 9. A beautiful day yesterday for a lunchtime walk. Rain and heavy winds expected beginning later today for a few days.

Day 280: NYC-1 World Trade Sunrise - October 8. A view of lower Manhattan and One World Trade in early morning just after sunrise.

Day 279: Autumn Garden - October 7. Misty rain on and off all day yesterday. More expected today. This is part of a garden autumn garden in a nearby town.

Day 278: Manhattan in Morning Mist - October 6. Sun appearing as the fog lifted yesterday morning.

Day 277: Squirrel - October 5. Another critter for today. Had fun watching this squirrel scampering around.

Day 276: Snacking Groundhog - October 4. Pulled into a parking lot to do a U-turn when I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. Pulled into a parking spot to look and saw this groundhog foraging in the oak leaves and eating acorns. Luckily had my camera on the front seat of the car so was able to open the window and get a few shots before he scampered away into surrounding woods.. This was the only sharp one. .

Day 275: Snowy Egrets - October 3. Snowy Egrets feeding at low tide in late afternoon at Mill Creek Marsh in the NJ Meadowlands. NJ Meadowlands are in Northern NJ and the Mill Creek Trails are just a few miles from NYCity - in fact the highest skyline buildings can be seen from parts of the trails.

Day 271: NYSkyline at Sunrise - October 2. A beautiful sunrise to start the day today - Happy Wednesday everyone.

Day 273: Magenta Chrsythemums - October 1. Wanted to start the month with a post that reflects the season. Beautiful weather here this week Soon the leaves will be turning.
