Day 161: Great Falls Park - Paterson NJ- June 13. Yesterday seemed like the perfect day to photograph at Great Falls Park in Paterson. A beautiful blue sky, puffy white clouds and an expected heavy water flow due to all of the rain that we've had. The perfect scenario for a postcard view. Unfortunately, I found when I arrived that the pedestrian bridge that is an integral part of the view of the falls, was covered in cloth - I assume for maintenance work. This shot is of the top of the falls as the Passaic River rushes toward the brink to begin its tumble over the rocks. In spite of not getting the shot I had planned on, I'm delighted to see that work has begun to clean up, restore and upgrade the park so that more people can enjoy seeing the power of these falls and learn about the role that they played in the history of manufacturing and commerce in this part of the country.
