Day 58: New York Skyline Sunrise- Feb 27 Yesterdays sunrise - today lots of rain and fog. Thanks for all of the comments on my sundown image yesterday.

Day 57: New York Skyline Sundown- Feb 26 A pretty sunrise yesterday morning followed by clouds all day until sunrise when a burst of gold lit up the skyline as seen in this image. This was topped off by a moonrise.

Day 56: Abstract Spring Emerging- Feb 25. I know - a little strange - but I am so looking forward to Spring decided to create something. Started with making an abstract photograph then selecting and pasting sections of it on a new file. It was fun to play a little - need to settle down and start getting my tax papterwork together. .

Day 55: Black History Month- Feb 24. This is my post for the Black History Month Challenge. Just a few of the many people who stand out in my mind as major figures in black history and civil rights.

Day 55: Blue Bubble Abstract- Feb 24. Rainy, rainy day yesterday so decided to try oil and water photography again. Past attempts have not been very successful. This time not much better results but did get this group of bubbles and did a little post processing to create the abstract.

Day 54: NYC Sunrise Chrysler Building- Feb 23. A huge,hot white sunrise behind the Chrysler Building yesterday. Then the clouds took over and cloudy, dreary the rest of the day. Today rain and fog. Need to think of a photo op for today.

Day 52: Abstract Squared - Feb 21. A little abstract play yesterday.

Day 51: New York Skyline Sunrise - Chrysler Building - Feb 20. After a very rainy day yesterday it was nice to see the sun this morning.

Day 50: American Flag George Washington Bridge - Feb 19. A very cold, windy but beautifully clear day yesterday. Took a ride to the GW Bridge to get photos of the American Flag that is displayed on federal holidays. It is the largest free flying American flag in the country, weighing 450 pounds and measuring 90 by 60 feet. I posted some photos last year but I love to return to see it when I can.

Day 48: Valentine Rose - Feb 17. A rose from my beautiful Valentine Day bouquet. .

Day 47: Duck Mallard Drake - Feb 16. Portrait of a mallard duck resting on the ice. The ice has begin to melt with the warmer weather over the past two days so this is probably one of the last ice shots unless the water freezes again. Thanks for all of the nice comments posted for my Canada Geese images yesterday.

Day 46: Canada Geese - Feb 15. Well, I've seen buds beginning on a few trees and the ducks and geese seem to be getting into high gear for selecting partners - Spring can't be too far away. This images needs a title but I couldn't think of one. Thanks for all of the comments on my Valentine flower image yesterday.

Day 43: The Fence - Feb 12, 2013 A rainy, cloudy, foggy day yesterday - all day. Had a hard time getting motivated to find a photo for the day. Thanks for all of the wonderful comments on my duck image yesterday.

Day 42: Mallard Drake in Snow - Feb 11, 2013. Went to feed the ducks yesterday and it was a bit tough getting to them as plows had piled mounds of snow around the entrance to the pond. But finally found a spot that I could climb over and walked through deep snow to get to the edge of the pond. This handsome fellow had snuggled himself into a big pile of snow and seemed to be quite happy sitting there in the sun, Thanks to eveyone who posted the supportive comments on my recent daily images.

Day 40: Snowfall New Jersey Meadowlands - Feb 9, 2013. Defiitely got my exercise this morning trudging around in unplowed park to get snow photos. Day 39: Pink and White Rosebud - Feb 8, 2013. Thank you for the commentss on my skyline surrise yesterday. Today, snow, rain, sleet, rain - alternating back and forth. Very very windy so no outside photos today. Lots of snow expected overnight, Luckily I have one nice rosebud that is still in decent shape from a bouquet purchased earlier in the week.

Day 38: New York Skyline Dawn - Feb 7, 2013. Stunning dawn colors this morning. This week is prime time to get a photo of the sun coming up beside the Empire State Building. Been up and ready every morning but the weather is not cooperating - it has been cloudy all week. This morning, 10 minutes after this shot, the sky was gray and overcast and no sun to be seen. .

Day 37: Mallard Duck Feathers - Feb 6, 2013 Thanks to everyone who posted comments for my red Amaryllis images yesterday. You are a great support group. Yesterday was cold, damp, snow showers. A lunchtime trip to find a photo opportunity was short-lived. Did get two gull photos and this one of the duck feathers before heading back to my warm car.

Day 35: N.Y. Skyline Superbowl 2013 - Feb 4, 2013. Up and out early this morning hoping for a pretty sunrise and discovered that the Empire State Building had stayed lit overnight in the Baltimore Raven colors - winners of the 2013 Superbowl. . Congratulations to the team. Just got in a few shots before the lighting was turned off.

Day 34: American Coot- Feb 3, 2013 Thanks to all for the nice comments posted for my abstract image. Went out yesterday thinking to get a duck or goose image for the day and came cross this American Coot. First time I've even been close enough to one to get a shot so it was a good day.

Day 33: N.Y. Dkyline Cruse Ship- Feb 2, 2013.. Norwegian Jewel deparing New York City. A bit of wishful thinkig as I watched her pull out and turn down the Hudson River to the sea - could sure use a beach and some warm sunshine.

Day 32: Abstract- Feb 1, 2013. An abstract image for today. No time to get out to look for a photo op. Took a quick shot of a door with paint chipped off and rusted spots. Then played in Photoshop for a while.
