Day 118: Cherry Blossoms - April 29. Several lovely cherry blossom trees are displaying beautiful flowers this week around my neighborhood. This is one of several images taken yesterday. I finally finished posting the photos from the Branch Brook Park NJ Cherry Blossom display from earlier this month. Day 117: Tulip Portrait - April 28. Thanks to everyone who commennted on my tulip image from yesterday. Sadly, the tulips have past their peak and there are very few still around to photography. Hopefull will get one more day to find more.

Day 115: NYSkylineMoonrise - April 26. Took some tulip pics yesterday intending to make one of them my PAD today. But then in the evening realized just in time that the moon would be rising at prime time and place for photos so was lucky enough to get set up to get shots. It was a stunning moon.

Day 114: Spring Walk - April 25. Took a lunctime ride to Montclair NJ yesterday to check out the blooms at VanVleck House and Garden, an old estate garden that is open to the public. It is renowned for the beautiful old wisteria vines that bloom in May and also for the collection of azaleas and rhododendrons. Looking forward to a trip back when they are in bloom.

Day 113: NY Skyline Night - April 24. A cold, damp, drizzly day yesterday but a bit of color as darkness fell and sundown light touched on the NY skyline Time Warner towers and the cruise ship MSC Poesia brightly lit as she prepared for departure.

Day 112: White Cherry Blossons - April 23. Quite a few of these trees are blooming right now - I think that they are white cherry blossoms but I'm not sure. But it is a pretty sight to see an entire tree full of them.

Day 111: Backlit Tulips - April 22. Passed by this tulip patch growing by a hotel parking lot entrance early evening yesterday.- turned around to take a look and thought that the backlight created an interesting effect.

Day 111: Forsythia - April 22. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments on my tulip and daffodil photo. Went back yesterday and the daffodils were losing their flowers so I'm glad I got a nice photo of them on the previous day. The forsythia flowers are also beginning to fade so thought that I'd post a photo before the shrubs only show green leaves. Love the bright yellow tones against the blue sky.

Day 110: Tulips and Daffodils - April 21. Tulips are beginning to bloom and this was a pretty sight to see the red tulips and yellow daffodils together.

Day 109: Hudson River View Morning Clouds - April 20. Early norning clouds and pastel light after a rainy night.

Day 108: Old Church - April 19. Had a wonderful lunchtime visit with two high school friends yesterday, one of whom I haven't seen since shortly after we graduated. Passed this lovely old church on my way back home and stopped to get a photo. Raining out and color dull so used Topaz Paint filter to bring out the color and for effect. There were old gravestones on the side of the church dating to the 1800s. Would have liked to stay to explore more but no rainjacket or umbrella so just took a quick shot of the church.

Day 107: Cherry Blossoms-Sacred Heart Basilica Cathedral - April 18. A view of cherry blossoms, Branch Brook Park Lake with the Cathedral Basikica of the Sacred Heart, Newark NJ, in the background. This is the 5th largest cathedral in North America and the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.

Day 106: Cherry Blossoms Close up - April 17. Thanks for the comments on my images yesterday. Looks like lots of folks are finally seeing and photograping spring flowers. Nice to see.

Day 103: Cherry Blossom Festival Branch Brook Park - April 14. Beautiful shades of pink and white are beginning to transform the landscape at Branch Brook Park in Newark NJ as the ornamental cherry tree blossoming progresses.
