Day 128: NY Skyline Moonrise - May 7, 2012. Missed the supermoon as it was obscured by clouds but last night it rose bold and bright over the NY Skyline. It was larger than usual but it is interesting how by the time it rises over the buildings, it doesn't have the effect of those huge moon shots taken in other areas. .
Day 127: Pink and Yellow Iris - May 6, 2012. Had hoped to be posting a moon image today but the weather did not cooperate and here in the NJ area, we could not see the moon. But the iris are beginning to bloom so I did get to spend some time photographing these lovely flowers.
Day 126: Old Church Tiptych - May 5, 2012. Passed by this old church in Hoboken N.J. while driving around to find a parking space. Listed in the National Historic Register as the First Baptist Church of Hoboken, it was built late 1800's in the Romanesque style. I was drawn to the wonderful variation of colors and tones in the old stone and the grill work.
