Day 182: Orange Sulphur Butterfly on Yellow Coneflowers - June 30, 2012. Can't believe it is the end of June already. It was a fun photo month with beautiful flowers, rainbows, the Enterprise Shuttle, lightning storms and newly arriving butterflies. Looking forward to July.

Day 178: NY Skyline - Lightning bolt - June 26, 2012. Severe thunderstorms yesterday morning - storm passed by quickly so only brief chance to get lighting photo.

Day 177: Painted Lady Butterfly- June 25, 2012. Another butterfly today. It was so nice so see the butterflies starting to arrive here in the warm weather.

Day 176: Question Mark Butterfly - June 24, 2012. Beautiful day yesterday and for the first time this year saw several butterflies.

Day 175: NYSkyline - Approaching Storm - June 23, 2012. Very interesting sky and light last evening over the NY skylilne as a storm approached. Within a few minutes the buildings were completely obscured by the storm.

Day 174: Cactus Flowers - June 22, 2012. These colorful cactus flowers are a cheerful sight, blooming in a container garden along the sidewalk a few blocks from where I live.

Day 173: Catbird in Birdbath - June 21, 2012. This little catbird had the right idea in the sweltering noonday sun yesterday.

Day167: Great Falls Park, Paterson NJ. A quick noontime trip to the Falls, located in Paterson N.J. on the Passaic River. Even with all of the rain that we had last week, the Falls had less water flow than would be expected this time of year - June 15, 2012

Day162: Granddaughters - June 10, 2012. Spent a super afternoon yesterday visiting with my N.J. granddaughters. They both performed at a voice recital held at an assisted living center so that the residents and guests could enjoy. All of the performers did a great job. Then dinner and back home. Perfect day. Thanks so much for all of the compliments on my skyline post yesterday.

Day161: NYC Skyline Weehawkin NJ - June 9, 2012. The town of Weehawkin NJ is renowned for the views available on the waterfront of the New York Skyline. Even though I live a short drive away, I had never gone there to photograph until yesterday afternoon late in the day. I did get some nice cityscape images but this is my favorite of the day with the hydrangeas in the foreground and the flags blowing in the wind.

Day160: NYC Rainbow - June 8, 2012. This is turning out to be the week of rainbows. Another beauty around sundown yesterday after a storm in the distance.

Day159: Shuttle Enterprise NYC - June 7, 2012. Two images for today. Exciting moments yesterday morning watching the shuttle Enterprise being transported up the river to the Intrepid and then late afternoon as it was hoisted onto the Intrepid deck. Then, shortly after a thunderstorm in the distance leaving a beautiful double rainbow over the river and the city of Hoboken N.J. Thanks for the comments on yesterday's skyline photo. Graham and Ed - no layers - just one frame. One of those times when the lighting was just amazing.
