Day 60: Peach Rose Bouquet - February 29, 2012. A foggy, cold, very rainy day. This shot of a bunch of roses was taken in the supermarket.

Day 59: Great Blue Heron - February 28, 2012. This Great Blue Heron in the NJ Meadowlands stood around like a statue without even blinking for quite a long time before he decided that the right appetizer had come along and wow - he sure seemed to enjoy it.

Day 57: NYSkyline Lower Manhattan - February 26, 2012. Two images tonight of the same subject. The sundown light was absolutely stunning on lower Manhattan. I wanted to capture and share photographs since the new WTC 1 tower is lit with red lights in honor of Timothy Cardinal Dolan. This image was at the height of sundown and the second images was shot about ten minutes later at nightfall.

Day 48: Light and Pattern - February 17, 2012. Well ...today was a disappointing photo day. Went to a big Home and Garden show hoping to get some nice flower shots. But there were more garden products than flowers and it was so dark inside that it was impossible to get any images without a flash. This image was taken at a display of wonderful large paper stars that were set up - some with lighting in them and some with lighting behind them. Very beautiful effect.

Day 42: Daffodil - February 11, 2012. This is a repost of my PAD. Tried focus-stacking in Photoshop and didn't have very good results - only this image. But it had very jagged edges so I've tried to patch it up a bit. Obviously there is a lot that I need to learn about the stacking process :) to get cleaner results.

Day 40: NY Morning Shadows- February 9, 2012. This is my contribution to the 'shadow' challenge. Not what I expected to post since it is very similar to one from January. Up early, out the door, planning to play with shadow idea. Took this shot cause I couldn't pass it up. Soon found myself back home, nursing a miserable sinus, throat, ear infection that I thought was starting to improve. Except for the tomatoes, that was the end of my photos for the day.

Day 39: NY Skyline Sunrise Composite - February 8, 2012. Well...I promised myself last night - no more skyline posts for a while. But then, woke up before dawn this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Knowing that cloudy skies were predicted, I decided to take a chance and be outside and ready to shoot dawn colors. The colorful skies were amazing. Interestingly, by the time the sun came up, there was almost no color left in the sky. Top left was the first shot and bottom right was the fourth in the sequence, taken only moments apart.

Day 36: NYSkyline Superbowl Sunday morning - February 5, 2012. New York skyline at sunrise on Superbowl Sunday lit in Giant's blue. Normally the ESB Tower lights are turned off in the wee hours of the morning but this morning they were still on at dawn.
