Day 299: Halloween - Oct 31. Happy Halloween everyone - have a great time. Came across this display in a nearby town.

Day 298: NYSkyline Sunrise - Oct 30. Only a short time before the sun rose, the skyline was totally obscured by dark fog. Glad that I waited it out and saw the sunrise.

Day 297: NYSkyline-Empire State Building at Dawn - Oct 29. A bold and colorful dawn over the New York Skyline today. Glad that I was up and out early to catch it.

Day 293: Autumn Lake Hoptacong NJ - Oct 25. A pretty autumn afternoon with fall foliage surrounding Lake Hopatcong in NW New Jersey.

Day 292: NYSyline Sunrise - Oct 24. The sun tried hard to overcome the clouds this morning at sunrise but didn't quite make it. Nice to have the rain out of here though after three days.

Day 291: Yellow Mums - Oct 23. More rain today - no chance for foliage or scenic autumn photos. Hope there will be leaves left on the trees once the storm passes on.

Day 289: Red Mill in Autumn - Oct 21. A photograph of the historic Red Mill Museum in Clinton N.J with autumn foliage. This mill is often photographed and I enjoy getting there in spring and again in fall to take photos. I was premature as the leaves have not completely turned as yet but it was still a pretty sight.

Day 285: Autumn Colors N.J. - Oct 17. It was a gorgeious day and had some fun time exploring and finding fall foliage scenes in my part of New Jersey. Way behind in my photo processing and posting due to computer issues but hopefully resolved and can get caught up.

Day 284: Halloween, Autumn Doll - Oct 16. Heavy rain and winds all night and still rain this morning. Here is a cheerful smile to start the day. Computer has been down for a few days so finally have caught up on my postings. Please check out the images from the prior few days.

Day 284: Ornamental Cabbage - Oct 15. Just one example of the pretty ornamental cabbage and flower kale plants that are beginning to show up in fall gardens here. Love the delicate, lacy look of the leaves.

Day 283: Abstract Tile Art - Oct 14. A very small section of an outside wall that is covered with beautiful tile art at the home and studio of artist Ricky Boscarino in New Jersey. The entire house and outbuildings and yard are filled and covered with his art, collectibles and sculptures and displays made from various collections of discarded objects such as blue bottles, bowling balls, sports trophies. The artist holds an open house about twice a year for visitors to view the house and art.

Day 282: Columbus Day Dawn over Manhattan - Oct 13. Mother Nature sure ushered the Columbus Day holiday in with a flare this morning with gorgeous pink, purple and yellow clouds across a deep blue sky. This is about a half hour before official sunrise time. Interestingly, there was no sunrise to see since it was totally hidden by gray clouds at sunrise time.

Day 281: Sunburst through Autumn Treetops - Oct 12. Mid-afternoon sunburst through the treetops in their autumn colors

Day 280: Fall Foliage New Jersey - Oct 11. Fall foliage is progressing nicely in the northwest part of New Jersey in the higher elevations. This is a view of the Allamuchy Mountains with northern NJ in the valley and New York State is the far distance.

Day 277: Waterloo Village General Store Autumn - Oct 8. A photograph of the back of the general store reflected in the Morris Canal in the restored 19th century canal village of Waterloo located in Byram Township New Jersey. The village includes a church which still holds services today, a gristmill, the general store, a blacksmith shop, a farmhouse and other homes that were part of the village when it was a thriving communicty.

Day 276: Orange Chrysanthemums - Oct 7. These chrysanthemums just seemed to shout Autumn.

Day 275: Fall Foliage -NJ Palisades - Oct 6. Fall foliage colors are spotty here in the Northeast. Some sections of beautiful fall foliage and other areas where the color is just beginning to turn as in this part of the Palisades Interstate Park. Everything is very dry and the wind has been blowing leaves off the trees very quickly so hoping that we will see some pretty color before they all simply blow away.

Day 273: Autumn Foliage NJ - Oct 4. The fall foliage is coming into peak time in the Northwest part of New Jersey. There is still a lot of greenery but with cool nights predicted, more color should be appearing soon.

Day 270: Mums in the Rain - Oct 1. These russet colored mums were lovely to look at today during a light rain. It has been raining all day and dreary but a short walk and a few photos cheered me up.
