Day 119: Forsythia- April 29. A cheerful burst of color to brighten a rainy day today. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have been affected by the storms and tornados and those who are in potential danger from them.

Day 115: Spring Pastels - April 25. Woodlands and backyards and marshes are definitely starting to look like spring. So nice to see.

Day 114: New York Skyline Sundown - April 24. Pretty light and shadows yesterday at sundown. The sun angle at this time of year shows lots of the depth and details of the city. .

Day 113: Reeves-Reed Arboretum Daffodils - April 23. Yesterday, Earth Day, was the perfect time to visit the daffodil field here as the flowers were in peak bloom. Love that the little girl in pink happened to walk into the frame. The daffodil bowl field is part of the grounds of an old estate that include a rose garden, an herb garden, a rock garden and a wildflower path. The house is called Wisner House.

Day 112: Virginia Bluebells - April 22 So so nice to see flowers blooming after the long winter.

Day 111: Gloxinia Flowers - April 21. A cheerful, yellow Gloxinia image for today. These flowers were a few of those in a gift pot of flowers that I received from one of my sisters for Easter. Thanks for all of the lovely comments on my cherry blossom post yesterday.

Day 109: Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart - April 19. This French-Gothic style cathedral in Newark, N.J. is the fifth largest cathedral in North America. According to Wikipedia, construction began in 1899 and was completed in 1954. Thiis photo was taken from Branch Brook Park with the cherry blossoms in the foreground. HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND.

Day 108: Ornamental Cherry Trees - April 18. The cherry tree blossoms at Branch Brook Park in Newark/Belleville N.J. are just about at peak bloom. The 14 varieties of threes provide a beautiful display of pinks and whites across the park, where more than 4300. trees are planted. The first group of these trees was planted in 1927 as a gift to the park and many more have been added since then, with about 700 more to be planted in the coming year. .

Day 107: Daffodils - April 17. So nice to finally see flowers blooming

Day 106: Yellow Pansy - April 16.

Day 105: Cherry Blossoms - April 15. So happy to see flowers beginning to bloom this past weeken - cherry blossoms, forsythia, magnoliia trees. Hopefully, the rain and wind and projected freezing temps tonight will not kill all of those beautiful buds waiting to burst open.

Day 102:- Snowy Egrets - April 12. Snowy Egrets fishing at low tide in New Jersey Meadowlands. Thanks for all of the very nice comments posted for my great egret post the other day - actually for all of the comments that this community posts each day.

Day 101:- NYSkyline at Sunrise - April 11. Even though rain is predicted for today, there was a beautiful sunrise over the Time Warner towers in Manhattan this morning. HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE.

Day 100:- Great Egret - April 10. So nice to see the birds returning to the N.J. Meadowlands as the weather warms up.
