Engulfed by Autumn at Central Park

Boaters pass by an open view in between hanging tree branches along the shore of Central Park Lake NYC and seem to be completely engulfed in the rich, vivid colors of the trees and their reflections.

This has been a wonderful year for fall foliage displays in my part of the world with rich and prolonged color. Central Park was my last trek to enjoy the beauty of it. A view of a section of the Central Park Lake in New York City, looking westward at historic apartment buildings of the Central Park West neighborhood.. With the sidelight bringing warm color to the fall foliage and a glimpse of boaters in the water for scale, there isa lot to see in this image. The two towers are those of the famous San Remo apartment building. Designed by architect Emery Roth, it was constructed from 1929 to 1930 in the Renaissance Revival style.

Great Falls of Paterson Autumn Scene

Picturesque Country Farmstead

A wonderful reminder of the farmland scenes that used to be common in the northwest New Jersey countryside. Nowadays, it is rare to see such farms. Came across this one by a happy accident when I made a wrong turn following a road detour. It took me through a hilly, winding road. I turned a corner following my instincts to get back to the main road and came across this scene. Pulled over on the narrow, no shoulder, road and grabbed a couple of quick shots.

Veteran's Day Tribute

An American Flag and a big Thank You to honor those who have served in our Armed Forces. On 11 AM, November 11, 1918, those fighting in World War 1 laid down their arms to end the fighting. Since the aftermath of that war, Veteran's Day is a holiday set aside to recognize and pay tribute to those who have served our country in the armed forces.

Orange Pumpkin Display
