NYC Lunar Year Year Celebration Fireworks
Chinese New Year Fireworks NYC. Multi-colored bursts of red, green, gold and blue fireworks, in brilliant colors, light up the sky with New York skyscrapers on the background. The firewarks display was in honor of the start of the Luner New Year, the 2018 Year of the Dog. The show was designed and organized by China's Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and carried out by Fireworks by Grucci, a New York-based fireworks company. The New Year celebration is one of the most popular holidays around the world, lasting for 15 days with long-held traditions and many fun-filled events. The primary colors, considered to be the most auspicious, in the celebration are red for good fortune and happiness and gold for wealth. The zodiac signs of Chinese astrology run in a 12-year cycle and 2018 is the Year of the Dog. For those born in a Dog year, your lucky nuimbers are 3, 4, 9; lucky colors are green, red and purple and lucky flowers roses and cymbidium orchids. “Gung Hay Fat Choy!!!"
