David Bowie Mural Eyes Segment

A segment mural portrait of David Bowie by the internationally known mural artist Eduardo Kobra. This is a superb example of the artist's skill in combining abstract and figurative art using multiple techniques and tools to create a striking image. This mural stands almost 14 stories high on a hgh rise building in Jersey City N.J. Working in squares, and using angles and lines of color within the squares, Kobra, integrates the figurative elements to create a beautiful "whole" while at the same time, each of the small squares is an art piece in itself. While he has murals in many cities around the world, including the U.S., one of the most loved here in the USA in Chelsea NYC is his portrayal of the V-Day sailor kissing a nurse, modeled after the famous black and white photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt.
