Rose Garden Brookdale Park NJ

A view of the Brookdale Park Rose Garden in bloom in Montclaire, New Jersey. Brookdale Park is part of the Essex County Park Sysem and the formal rose garden is one the park features. Established in 1959, the garden originally included 80 varieites of roses. In 1997, the care of the garden was taken over ty the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Essex County (RMGEC). Currently, it contains approximately 1,500 bushes of over 100 varieties which include hybrid tea, floribunda, shrub, hybrid musk, polyanthas, rugosas and antique roses.

Rose Petal Swirl

Bety Boop is a floribunda rose with yellow-ivory petals edged in cherry red with bright golden yellow stamen center. One of the most colorful of roses with long-lasting blooms, it was hybridized by om Carruth 1999. Whether seen as a single blossom as in this vew or an entire bush covered in bloom, they are beautiful to see.

Rose-Westerland

This gorgeous large climbing rose is a sandout in the garden glowing in all of the colors of sunrise or sunset with apricot, orange, pink, red and yellow hues. This rose, named Westerland, was hybridized by Kordes in 1970.

Rainbow Bookends- One World Trade NYC
