NYC - One World Trade Center. A vertical format view of One World Trade Center and lower Manhattan skyscrapers as seen from Liberty State Park in New Jersey aross upper New York Bay at the southern end of the Hudson River The wood structure and lights in the foreground are a section of the old ferry piers where commuters, immigrants and freight cargo arrived to continue their journies via the CRR-NJ railroad terminal on the grounds. This area is where thousands of immigrants landed each day after being processed though Ellis Island with approximately eight million of them traveling to their new homes via the Central Railroad. Between 1890 and 1915, about 300 trains passed into the terminal each day with a combination of commuters, immigrants and freight bringing 30,000 - 50,000 people to the terminal.
