Day 72: A Gull with a Bagel - March 11, 2012. Didn't intend this to be my photo of the day but want to post it - a fun story. This gull either stole the bagel or someone threw it out and the gull caught it but the poor bird flew around for more than 20 minute trying to find a way to enjoy it. Every time he tried to land, other gulls attemped to take it from him and a few followed him into the air several times to try to grab it and aerial power plays ensued. Most were too far away for my camera to capture but I did get these two shots. This was one very determined bird.
